does anyone know if a 2000 3/4 ton transfer case plugs are the same as an 02 1/2 t case plugs

2002 and newer 80e would be my suggestion. Better redesigned parts. Any year 80e will work but the ones with the center support lube return point will last longer. Can't remember when they started the center support lube but you'll know it when you see one, one lube line is at the bell housing and the other is about 12" back from there. The earlier models will have one bolt hole that will not line up leaving you with only 4 bolts supporting the trans if you don't have the lower cover plate bolting to the oil pan. The crossmember is supposed to support the trans, so not really an issue. I ran a 408 with about 250 shot of nitrous and never had a bolt back out or bell housing issue using only 4 bolts and the rear mount.
