    Best gain for $1500?

I have a little to spend and want to get the best performance with the money I have. I already have the mods in my signature and am thinking about a set of underdrive pulleys, Pacesetter headers, a cam (Comp recommended 54-412-11), and the retune for them.

What kind of gain would you expect from that? Might be better off ditching the pulleys and swapping my 3.42s for some 3.73s (I like to cruise ~95mph and don't want 4.10s). What would you guys do?

I agree with Justin, the benefits of pulleys don't really outweigh the labor, price, etc. I would go with everything else though; fans, headers, cam, tune. But the most bang for your buck would be some nitrous. I would also get some 3.73's and a locker too. All the power in the world doesn't mean squat if it doesn't get put to the pavement right. LQ9 is probably the best thing you can do though. Buy it, get what ever you can get with the leftover cash and build as you can. When you have everything you want, motor swap time.

They are a decent gain...and it has to come off for the cam anyway, why put the stock one back on, when you can just put this one on?

Haha, there is only a couple things we don't see eye to eye on, and that's okay. It makes the world go. You may one day change the way you see some things. If not, then you don't. I see things way differently now than I did 3 years ago. I live my life and let others live theirs. My opinions are my honest opinions and that is it, nothing more. It wasn't that way in the past, my opinions were the way it was no matter what anyone ever said. I found that I am much happier now.

I see that point. I just can't justify it myself, the price for them plus what they take away from the belt driven components isn't worth the couple horsepower gain. I'm not knocking the idea, just not my way, you also have to remember that I'm a stereo dude. I need my alternator to do the best job it can do.
