    Need help with wheels

I'm having the hardest time trying to decide what wheels to run on my obs c1500 rcsb. I've been trying to find pics of user rides running 15's and 17's but I really havent had any luck. So if no one minds, and if you have pics, post pics of a obs with 15's and 17's. I can get a set of Pacer Strokers 15x8, the only size pacer makes em in, for about 280. I really like the wheel and its a good deal but I'm afraid the wheels will look to small on the truck. So please, any pics and help would be appreciated. Oh yeah here is the catalog we order our wheels from, well the company I work for. The pacers are on page 22, they are a weld knock off.

The 5x5 pattern limits your selection tremendously. I bought some 5 x 4.75 x 2" thick wheel adapters so I could chose from a larger selection of wheels. I ended up with 18x9.5" wide Corvette wheels that have a 61mm offset. They fit nicely on the OBS truck. BTW, the adapters are for sale if you need them.

5 to 6 bolt adapters are very pricey. Check Ebay. Mine are 5x5 to 5x4.75 and I'd sell them for half of what they cost. Your price would be $100 and they have 14mm studs rather than 7/16 or 1/2".

Police tahoe (15x7) wheels, same as 454SS but black.

Or, you could swap over to light duty 3/4 ton (2500) 6 lug rotors, and axles (or re drill the rear axles)

Cheaper and easier to bolt on wheel adapters. I paid 50$ a wheel for my adapters. Mine are 6 to 6 though, just for spacing my back wheels out.

Definitley, But cheaper and easier are not always the best way.

yeah, I hear that nonsense is DANGEROUS!!! A friend of mine lost a wheel to some adapters at 80mph. he looked to the left and saw a wheel taking off across the median to the other side of the highway, about that time his truck leaned to the back left. shortly after, he tried slowing and correcting the truck onto the shoulder and the truck almost flipped.

Good quality ones won't do that to you. I've made at least 100 passes on the mine at the dragstrip and they've never loosened one bit. The company that made them has a $1M insurance policy protecting owners of their adapters, quality stuff.

Those wheels are hard to find. I have only found one wheel and the guy wanted too much for it. I like the way they make the truck look.
