Timing chain break? Cause or effect. Could it have dropped a valve and broke the chain?

hmmmm.....maybe i shoulda replaced my timing chain.....
I'm glad that I am deciding to wait on putting a cam in mine. I can see exactly what all I need to replace when I get ready to do it. I was looking at the thumpr last night and thought nah, no need to buy the whole kit, I will just get springs and push rods when i do it. I guess I will be springing the cash for the whole 9 yards when I'm ready.

Sticky/broken gauges? I can help. PM me for details.
Never really heard of a timing chain breaking though...I would guess it was the mileage.
they get so stretched out that they try to climb over the teeth on the sprocket rather than down in the valleys. Next thing you know, POW! Rattle Rattle crunch crunch crunch![]()
