    LS1 cam

I've been thinking that since I have the block torn apart I might as well replace the cam and srpings with an LS1 cam. My question is are there certain years I should try and stay away from and also do i need to get the hydraulic roller cam or the solid roller? thanks again for the help.

Hell the LS cam is not worth swapping for! Get at least a LS6 cam or aftermarket would be much better!

i run an ls1 in my 4.8 DD and like it very much. pulls much harder than stock truck. and you only need a cam and you can get them for $20. its a nice try if your not looking for crazy fast and just want a little extra for cheap...

Anyone know someone with the 2001 spec lying around for cheap? I know someone who has a friend that needs one.
