    Eaton Lsd

    hey guys i am looking at buying an eaton unit for my truck it says it requires the following. do you know where i can get these timken cones and races? thanks all.

    Designed for 2.76 and higher gear ratios. Requires special bearing size: 1.7812 ID x 2.8910 OD x 0.7700 Width. Timken LM102949 cone and LM102911 race.

    Napa is where i got mine and just an FYI Eaton makes the truetrac carrier that you and i have

    well their Eaton posi's suk the Tru-trac and the Detroit Locker work well, those clutch posi's bite.....

    I have over 100k with my eaton and never have had one problem. Make sure you use non-synthetic gear oil. I also use ford's clutch additive with it. Thats what randy's ring and pinion told me to use and it has worked flawlessly.

    just depends wut kinda power your gonna put through it...
    all units will fail at somepoint...even the best units fail every now and then...just happens in the manufacturing

    anybody heard of an auburn posi trac? any feedback or opinions on that diff?
