    4.3 To ls-1 what do i need

    Ok guys here we go I have a 2004 silverado 4.3 5 speed 4x4 And i have just bought 1995 ls-1 from a friend I need to know what parts i need to do the swap such as motor mounts,fuel pump,fuel lines,etc. I am planning on keeping the 5 speed trans so which flex plate do i need to use. and also does anyone make a stand alone harness for the 95 ls1 any info would be great thanks.

    95 didn't have an LS1...the first year of the LS based motor was in 97 in the vettes.....what you prob have is an LT1

    True, no LS1s in 95. Take a pic and post it up and we'll let you know what you have. What did it come out of?

    Thanks for the quick reply you are correct it is the lt1 from a 95 camaro

    Dont waste your time. The first time you go in for an inspection they will laugh you out the door and tell you the truck has an illegal swap according to CARB regulations that most states have adopted. Your V6 has almost the same HP as the 05 Fbody LT1 had.

    Thanks for the info havent picked the lt1 up yet and glad i havent. will look locally for ls1. still need the other info when you get time.thanks for saving me alot of trouble.
