few last bugs to work out

    2004 silveado 5.3 , DBW, matching 4l60e 4x4, escalade dash into a 88 k5 blazer, Using '88 transfer case 208

Ok so here are the few things that bug me, hope you guys can help.

1: Tow haul switch, anybody figure out how to get it to work and done so successfully? Lots of theory about adding a bcm, but I haven't found any actual results.

2: 4x4 dual range transfer case and VSS. When I first set this up I used a JTR differential mount reluctor. That worked perfectly except in 4x4 low- The trans wouldn't shift properly, but the speedo was dead on. To correct the 4x4 low shifting , I installed a VSS into the transfer case with reluctor ring on the trans output shaft. Removed the differential mounted unit. Now the trans shifts as it should in 4x4 low but the spedo is off. Is there a way to have both work correctly ?

3: escalade dash has a few issues, some of the idiot lights won't function. Some stay on and some won't light. The brake light is the most troubling. Any way to fool it so it shuts off? Or better yet have it actually work as it should.

4 . The voltage gauge is not workping. I know the gauge is good and will move but its not getting its signal in this swap. I haven't been able to figure it out. Anyone have the description or theory of operation for that gauge.

Thanks guys these things have been bugging me for a couple years already..

Brake light is simple, pull the bulb.

As for the speedo reading, I would only worry about it in HI range since that is where you do most of your driving. Hopefully you're only using LO range when offroading. The speedo is likely wanting some signal telling it that you're in LO range so it knows to use a multiplier to adjust the speed output. Even if you had a toggle swith on the dash it still may not be correct due to the fact you likely have a different gear range in LO with the 88 transfer case vs the stock unit calibrated for the PCM.

Thanks red, the dash is 06 (iirc) escalade, much like the 04 silverado only fancier. The lights are LEDs on a printed circuit board and not able to be unplugged. Some of them work off of logic supplied by the BCM. most of it works great and folks really need to look twice at it. Cruise works and so does the driver information feature. Lol.

I would imagine the same on the 4x4, some intermediary computer re configure the VSS signal so that both shifting and spedo work in both HI and low. But what is it? Can I intigrate it into my blazer ?

That tow/haul feature sure would be nice.
That BCM puts out something to the pcm, but what ?

Well I got nothing but dead end ideas
    swap : 88 k5 Blazer w/ 2004 5.3 & 4l60e, 212/218 cam
CAI, shortie headers, TCI 2600 stall, transgo shift kit,

For the TOW/HAUL button you can switch the tune from Class 2 input to 1 or 2 switch input. Once that is done, the BCM is no longer required for it to work.

Thanks, I'll see what I can find on doing the switch.
Is that something I can do with my hptuners software?

Yes, under TRANSMISSION-->GENERAL-->GENERAL PERFORMANCE OPTION Pull down menu

Beta may be required for this, but this has been in there a long time.
