    Well color me ignorant....

For a long time now, I've been collecting parts for my LSx swap for my S10. I've got the short block ready and am about to drop the heads on. A friends of mine is building a 5.3 and has been posting his findings on another board. Well, I got into some truck 5.3 brackets/pumps/accessories and thought they would work fine. However, my friend posted pics of his 5.3 with truck accessories and an LS1 intake. It looks like the alt bracket is in the way of the throttle body.

Can anyone confirm this. I've got my fingers on a few leads so I can get a hold of some LS1 peripherals if need be.

    Thanks for your input.

Ok, here are the pics of his 5.3 with LS1 intake.

Needless to say, I just need to go home and bolt up my stuff to see if it fits. I'm just stuck at work and thought I'd become educated on the subject and get some ducks lined out in case I have to buy more parts.

If I can keep my truck stuff and make it work, it would save me a lot of cash.

you have to relocate the idler pulley and get a different length belt but thats all the glory related to getting to use a car type intake manifold on a truck. you also have to trim off part of the bracket.

Anyone got a pic of this layout? Seems it would look almost identical to the LS1/6 belt layout with the idler relocated.
