I went to a local performance shop today to ask them about pricing to put in a cam, this is what I was quoted: ~$2200.00

includes:
Comp cam 210/218 .531/.531 112
valves, retainers(basically everything needed to put in the new cam)
labor
LS1 edit

And about $700 for a NX wet kit 125 shot-installed

A buddy of mine said it sounded a bit high. If any of you guys live in Texas, preferably Houston area and know of a good shop let me know.
