Got a Yank 2600 and a Transgo kit installed last week. Truck WAS running great. Today on the way home from work, I slow down for traffic and when I accelerated the truck wouldn't go into 3rd gear. When it started, the shift from 1-2 was fine. Then it seemed like it tried to "slip" into 3rd. RPMs went up and nothing happened. I let off the pedal and eased back into it but it wouldn't go into third. Got on the shoulder and shifted into "1" and eased back into it. Shift into "2" and the tranny shifts into 2nd. Shift into "3" and nothing. RPMs go up but no shift. It hung in 2nd. Reverse works fine. Fluid level & smell is OK and no codes.

    Any ideas?

Search the site for code P0757 and another one I dont remember. You have to get them disabled in your pcm because the convertor makes it think that the transmission is slipping. You turn those two codes off and all your worries go south for the winter.

Thanks Red! I looked that up and there was some good info in there. But I haven't thrown a code. I checked that last night and the only code is the the P1336 (Craknk Relearn) from Allen's tune. Would it go into Limp Mode and not throw a code? Some of the symptoms sound exactly like P0757, especially the "soft landing" into 2nd gear. Is there a possibility of a loose wire on a solenoid from the TG install?

Sometimes the codes are there, just not popped up yet.

Well that's hopeful. If it is the code, I'm guessing I'll have to do more than just clear it. According to the previous post on P0757, the tune will need to be adjusted. Is that correct? Anyone heard from Allen lately?

    It weren't no code!!!!

The 3-4 clutch was toast and the 2nd accumulator piston was broken. Getting it re-built to a Level 4 at Rock On.

Some days it sucks to be me!

Yeah, I drove mine too long with the 757 code popping up and fried the 3-4 clutches. It didn't take long. Dave will build you a nice strong transmission. He uses good quality parts and builds it up to 4L65e strength and uses 65e clutches in the 3-4 pack. I like what he does to them internally. When mine decided to burn up, I was in SanAntonio and had to drive back home. I feel for you, Man.

For some reason I don't think that the 60e transmission likes the transgo kit along with a convertor.

Well...the bright side is that the transmission is not going to be a weak link for a long while I hope. And I found out the service road runs all the way from Lewisville to Denton except where you cross the lake. I think I'd go crazy making that drive from SA.

I told Billy after the cam/TC/Transgo install and turning the boost up to 8psi that I wondered how long it'd be before the tranny took a dump. Now I know.....about one week and then !!

Dave seems like he knows what he's doing and I've heard very little negative about him or his work. It'll be interesting to see what this vacum modulated tranny is going to be like. Thanks again for all your help.

is it as simple as turning off the DTCs or do you have to turn off the test that activates this code? If the 2nd, how do you turn off the test?
