    knock sensor

if i drive my truck with the rear knock sensor bad will it damage anything. ive been wanting to change it but i havent had the time, its kinda hard to start because its my daily driver. also i replaced both knock sensors about 6 months ago because the rear one went bad and its bad again. i think the problem is something else. by the way the trouble code is p0332

Set aside a couple hours and get it fixed ASAP. Check the site for other P0332 topics.

i havent even hooked my knock sensors back up on my new motor..its really no biggie, your truck shouldnt see any knock...now if you have some type of FI or are spraying it then i would say different

when you replace knock sensors next time apply a silicone c shape bead around to front of the knock sensor on the valley cover to prevent water intrusion into the connector - don't silicone the rubber boot itself - just around the front of it - the problem should not return

60 bucks wow.. but I'm not sure you can get it anywhere else.. I got it for 48 total from dealer. And all places I called, and online I couldn't find it anywhere. Maybe call around??

GMPartsdirect if you don't mind the wait. Pace parts, SDPARTS, CrateEngineDepot... those three have fair prices if you know the part number. I paid $27 for mine at my local dealership.

Harnesses can be super high. Considering the connectors I can almost justify the $47 paid above. Ever priced an LT1 distributor jumper harness?
