Got my lq4 in and cleaned up. Decided to go ahead and add a bump stick while its on the stand. I will be occaisionally pulling a ski boat with it. What are some of you guys thought on the gmpp hot cam.

Relatively mild cam from what i hear, but decent performer.
The hot cam... some love it, but a lot of people hate it, lol.
I would look for a mid 22x cam. You like new or used parts?
I want a choppy idle, something an a 112 probably
Anybody run the TSP 228r in a 4x4 here or the 224r
I have a TR224 on a 112 LSA in the 6.0 in my big truck(99 1500 ECSB 9" lift 37" tires). I also have a 10.5" 3400 rpm stall converter. Runs great, ran a 13.0 on 31" tires. I will say that the 224 does fall off on the topend above 6k rpm.
For my truck, I'd go with a cam that offers a little better topend. Prob something along the lines of a 226/230 or 228/232.
For a mild build with a low-stalling converter, a cam like the TR224 would work great in a 6.0.
Not tryin the jack the thread, but I was lookin for a cam too and it looks like we have similar lifted trucks with big tires and geared...But I don't really ususally wind mine up too high, usually just really hard take offs at the lights. Think that 224 would be good, or should I go a little more
What torque converter do you currently have?
iv got a 226/230 .598/.600 111lsa cam layin around if interested. Has less than 800 miles on it. Also have original box and cam card for it
i had the cam spec'd for a 5.7 ls1 in my ex cab z71 with a tight 26-2800 stall...im guessing it should run fine in a 6.0 with stock stall
Did you not like this cam or what? how much you asking.
hell na i loved it! i bought a new truck and im parting out my old one and putting it back stock so it will sell easier. Asking $350 shipped with insurance for the cam. Has less than 800 miles on it
You'll like a 224 sized cam if your not into winding the engine out.
Nice specs for a 6.0, imo.
It will be awesome once you upgrade your converter. With the stock verter, it will still run good. Might be a little soggy down low, but shouldn't be too bad at all.
