Anybody ever replace a Heater Core on a 2000 on up Silverado. is it a bitch to do?. Im freezing

in dallas and I miss my heater. how hard is it to do? got it bypassed, i broke of the plastic thingy on the firewall when my numb hands tried to shove the hoses back onto it in the snow when i put my engine back in. Its fucking cold man! I've gone as far as i can, I need a heater !!!
Any tips/advice?
+ if some one in the dallas area could let me use their garage for a few hours i would be gratefull.(can pay you in beer) my sisters apt complex are bastards.

i did the same thing when i did my swap, what i done was took a saw zall and carefully cut the big fitting off, the 1/2 pipe, and hooked hose directly to the nozel or 1/5 pipe ..
p.s. cut plastic off !!! theres a aluminum pipe under it 1/2
