My current tranny is starting to slip and im starting to consider going with an flt built tranny. Im thinking about going with either the level5 4l65e or the level4 4l60e. Which tranny will i get the most hp with. Right now my truck is stock and it has the 4l60e in it now, but im planning to put the lq9 or the lq4 in it in about a year, so i figured i mine as well get the built tranny now. thanks for any help. Rick

    level 5 65e will be the better of the two meaning itll hold more HP b4 breaking. genrally speaking the 65 is an upgraded version of the 60e form the factory. that should mean stronger in general as far as built trannys go too. im no expert, but from what ive gathered thats what i know. others will know 10x more than i do on here, im sure u'll here more shortly.

    Flt says their 4l65e will hold 500- 550 hp. Give them a call, they will answer any question you have. They are a very good company and excellent customer service.

    The 4L65E came out when GM started producing the LQ9..... LQ9 => 345HP stock, LQ4 => 315HP stock I think........
