    Ok guys, things change fast! lol I was just on the phone today discussing a few mod decisions with Allen. So I get my mind set one some higher ratio rockers for now and in a few months add his new turbo kit. Now heres where things get interesting.

    I have an option of getting a whole new ride, which I will go ahead and say now it will be an Ave, or spend the money on really getting busy on what I have now. Which will definately get me Allen's turbo kit, a FLT level 5 tranny with of course, a motor swap.

    Now here the one billionth part of that situation, if I do the second option, what do I go with. I have always been fond of the LS6, but then a 6.0 has been proven to work really well with boost. What do you guys think?

    is it me or does anyone else think that the displacement of 6 liters over the 5.7 is a deal breaker? also ud be able to run more boost as im sure the comp ration is higher on the LS6. I think 5.7 is a great displacement, but if most of the stuff is gonna chnage eventually anyways 6.0 may be the better route.

    Do some research and see which one you can run more boost through. I would say LQ4.

    If you want a new ride, then do it. But a motor & tranny swap would be a whole lot cheaper.

    LS6=10.5:1=bad for boost
    LQ4=9.4:1=good for boost and more displacement

    Cool guys, I might jump on Allen's kit then, at least on my 5.3L for now, but I might just do a built 6.0 swap, damn fun limitations! I am going to look at Ave's and the new Silvys today, so I will let you guys know.

    DO THE KIT LQ4 AND TRANNY SWAP. WAIT A FEW YEARS FOR THE BUGS TO GET WORKED OUT ON THE NEW AVE. WHEN YOU ARE READY TO BUY THE AVE, HAVE ALLEN TAKE THE KIT OFF AND RETRO FIT IT TO THE AVE. THE 6.OL LQ4 WOULD BE THE BEST FOR BOOST SINCE IT HAS THE 71CC HEADS AND LOW COMPRESSION. NOW I HAVE SEEN SOME LQ9'S RUNNING TURBO'S THAT ARE FLAT OUT AWESOME. MAYBE LOW BOOST AND AN LQ9 WOULD WORK BETTER. I DO NOT KNOW? DO WHAT YOU THINK IS BEST. I WOULD WAIT A YEAR TO LET GM GET THE BUGS OUT OF THE AVE 1ST.

    i agree. and not just because its in all caps. if you truly love your truck. upgrade it. but the new silvys will be out in about 3 weeks. if nothing else wait a month . and upgrade the first NBS silvy. bu the first year or 2 is always a lil tough. the bugs can be a bitch the first time out.
