Hey bro, Would you be willing to try out my 97 VCM? I'd like to prove we can go over 5800 RPM. We will swap them for a test run to compare differences. What you say? No messing with your Nelson tune, just a simple VCM swap. And if it doesn't I'll be man enough to apologize to everyone.

You do know he traded his 97 right? He got a new 06 crew cab. The 97 days are over........

Damn the luck!! I forgot all about that! I'll haver to find someone else. Theres a debate on Vortec L31's over at Performance trucks and I had to go and get myself in the middle of it. LMAO Sometimes it's best I keep my mouth shut but I've already done the Vortec thing and know what will work and what won't. That's why I have an LS1 now. LOL Oh, it's not that I'm stirring up trouble either, just trying to save some grief in the long run.

My offer still stands. I just put the tune back in the stock 97 VCM and it shifts at 6500 with no problems. I'm leary of tearing something up since it's not like my LS1 but it does work. It's not worth the argument over at performance truck but I'd be glad to blow someone's engine up at 8000 RPM if they will sign a waiver and try it out. No BS, why the hell would I lie! Thanks for the support.

Nitrous, what are you saying here? what engine will rev to 6500rpm the LS or the L31, I'm still rockin my L31 and it works great, 6500rpm would be wild.
