Ok. Ive finally got some extra cash. Im wanting to get Pacesetter LT's. Ive got a few questions to the guys who have these and have done the installs themselves. Can I do it? Ive got everything at the shop. Lift, Welders, Well... you name it, I got it. How about my factory cats? Will they work or will they be too close and in the way? I am a decent welder, but how hard is it to cut off the factory coupling from the exhaust that the factory headers bolt up to, to make them fit to the LT's. I can't do the Pacesetter Y-Pipe, because I have true dual exhaust. Pitch in what ya'll know. That way next time i run into Jethro i can do some shit talking...

    Thanks

    Daniel

Ditch the cats, get Allen to tune them out. If you can weld & bend tube, then it shouldn't be a problem.

me and danny did mine in his dad's shop with just a floor jack and some jack stands and hand tools.... i knwo with your shop you have it should be alot easier to get underneath and move around..... just get you teh off road y pipe and have it tuned and have the o2 deletes.....

you heard mine opened up..... with muffler or whatever you wanna put it afterwards should sound pretty damn good with a good performance gain... i knwo when i did mine we could feel the POWA

this is TRUE DUAL exhaust, meaning his y pipe is two seperate pipes all the way through

in that case if you can weld it shouldnt be to hard in theory.... even if you get the y pipe, it comes in different pieces, that bolt right up and you can leave the part that "Y's" out and fab something simple up.... my :2cents:

but then again im dont know what the underside and the routing if your exhaust looks like now.... but as for teh install on the headers themselves, took us bout an hour or so and that was with jackstands and laying upside down

We did my brothers in a couple of hours, we sprayed all the bolts w/pb blaster, man that stuff works great every bolt was practically loose after letting it sit overnight. Once installed we took it to the muffler to weld up the exhaust
