Thread: Gears are in and running nice

    Finally got them in after having this truck for 6 weeks or so.I could not stand the 3.23's anymore.It pulls so much better and harder now especially off the line of course.I would have gone with 4.10's BUT I got these gears and install for nothing.
    It will light them up now no problems.LOL

    so what gears did you get? i know the 4.10s woke up my lil 4.8. did you get that cam in there yet?

    I ordered my Eaton today and probably will order the gears tomorrow (4:10's)
    I am going to install them myself, what I am concerned about is how you set the pinion depth. Do you set or adjust the depth first without the crush sleeve and once set take it back apart and then install the crush sleeve...does anybody know the process

    I just got my eaton and 4.10's installed. What a difference they make!! No more one tire fire!!
