I never had a problem with the 10 bolt and 450 horse big block in my old truck. It was an 85' and it had 3.42 gears and locked up limited slip. I mean i wasnt pushing 800 horses either but with slicks on it the never broke loose and it held up just fine. The guy a parsons differential in beaumont told me that a stock truck 10 bolt can handle 600hp so long as the vehicle its in isnt 6000 pounds either.
It makes sense too when you think of it cause you could put that axle in a light, say 3500 pound car, with 600hp and slicks and never tear up the diff. but put that same combo in a heavy ass 6000 pound truck and you just pulled the pin on a grenade.
I would let it ride untill it breaks just to see the carnage and then send pics!
