If i am not mistaken I was told and most of yall agree our trucks need alot of torque. The dynamics of the intake determine how much torque we can get in our motors. That intake would quite possible increase your HP but decrease your torque. That is my the intake manifolds are designed the way they are. The faster the air gets to the cylinder the more HP is produced. The more air that gets in the chamber the more torque is produced. I may be a little off but if someone else has other information please let me know. That is what i have been told and that is my understandings of intake manifolds.

You got it backwards. Small Long runners create more air velocity( air speed) which creates more torque. Big fat ass ports and short runners allow volume for high end Hp. But you have to design the best of both worlds. Thats why nobody really ports diesel heads unless its a high end diesel build. Look at the ports on a cummins or a 6.9liter ford diesel. I know comparing diesels to gas is like apples to oranges. But thats why back in the day gm used a 427 or 366 big block with ports as small as a small block and a two barrel carb for dump trucks and school buses. They needed all the torque they could get and since the engine probably wouldnt see over 4K rpm they used that to take the small high velocity ports to the extreme to help low end torque. But we want the best of both worlds so the search for the perfect combination will never end.

ok it would help top end but not bottom and if you have a 4.8 the bore isnt big enough to get the really power out of one of those if you have a 6.0 wich that intake goes on or even5.3/7 it would help top end. if u have or gettin a stall then ya go for it some time or another but i would have cam tune stall all that first and then up grade injectors if they arent already with that intake. looks like the fuel rails are. that my input

It won't help the engine, but you won't be able to keep the girls away.

i wanna make my truck look nice as well as functionality. i look at engine covers all the time, and unless they r airbrushed or r dressy like this one would be i think they all look the same BORING. even the SS doesnt have a great looking enigine compartment, figured theyd have badgeing or something under there.
