Well a buddy of mine goes to Rice University (snooty smart person school in Houston area) and they played (and beat) SMU on Saturday night.

Soooo...after the game I decided it would be in my best interest to attend a party and perhaps take advantage of some intoxicated women. So I get there and kick back a few cold ones to get loosened up. Well before I know it with all my assclowning I endup having about 6.

Then when that party got boring we took off after stopping at Shell for more tall an' frosties. After that little pit stop, off to a small town called South Lake. After reaching that place we hung out there for about 1.5 hrs. While there a buddy of mine has a few vodka shots and passes out on a couch. So this other guy I've known for 15 years talks me into driving to a store of some sort (at this point I havent' the slightest idea where I am) and off we go. Sadly a mailbox and my truck didn't get along so I have about a 5" scratch on the side of my truck!

Well that's not the kicker of the story... when I left South Lake around 2am I got lost in suburbia hell! It took me about 45min to get out of this neighborhood! I kept turning left on this intersection instead of going right! Once I got out of there I accidently went North for about 45min then West...I was sooooooooooooooooooo lost. I finally found my bearings and located a road I drive on a lot...depsite it was way, way North of where I needed to go. Well it turned out it took me around 2.5 hrs to get home that night! Man was I mad and tired after that.

Once I come to on Sunday morning I realize that I made a few mistakes Sat night: the mailbox fight, missed out on a chick blatently hitting on me in South Lake (look what excessive consumption does), forgot my ice chest there, and had a stomach ache all day. Let this be a lesson to all, be smarter when going out...I know I am from this!

Be smarter when you go out??? I don't mean to sound rude but you're lucky you're not dead or others aren't dead.

I knew that was coming. Well dude, bad stuff happens to us all...wether on purpose or not. I highly doubt you can tell me you've never done anything stupid like this before.

In any event, I've tempted fate (if there is such a thing) many times in the past some on purpose...others by accident. I've fallen close to 20', been in a car wreck, hit by a boat and broke a few ribs and collapsed a lung, lots of stitches, the list goes on.

Honestly I don't think luck has anything to do with it. I believe I have some yet unserved purpose, who knows what that is...but I really could care less about my well being.

Glad you made it home safely. Now you have to go back and get your cooler. That was not what I would call a good night. Live and learn and knock on wood.

You may not care about your well being but what if that mailbox was your best friend's wife or girlfriend or father? I have done stupid things, we all have, but my stupid things have never involved the keys to a vehicle and alcohol. You are right though, you weren't lucky, everyone else on the road was that night.
