I have an underdrive pulley set for my old 4.3 and I was wondering if the alt. pulley would transfer to my ls1 alt. and if it would do you guys think it would help performance much? Before you answer that let me first tell you a story. lol I've got a freind who made this little generator/battery charger thing out of a 5hp briggs& stratton and an alternator. He used a gas powered edger and mounted an alt. on it driven by the edger belt and had a switch on it to excite the alt. He would first start the motor and when he flipped the switch the drag from the alt. would kill that 5 hp briggs at WOT like it was nothing. I never realized how much power an alt. soaked up until then. So let me know what you guys think.

first thats pretty funny and good that it worked. second thats why alot of real racers use electric water pumps, e-fans and so on just because thats less stress on the motor. thats one thing that id love to do for mine. i know alot of yal have e fans already and i wanna be one of them.

as far as your first question goes... i have no idea!! LOL
