So, i just bought a 2006 Silverado Crew Cab with the 6.0L. I think im going to put exhaust on it first. What do you think about this - and what is the exhaust system to go with? I was thinking about a 50series flowmaster and dumping over the axle.

don't go with a Flowmaster...i'd go with a Magnaflow, DynoMax or Spintech
Is it a dual in, single out? If so, be careful about drone, or really bad resonation at about 1,600 rpms. If you want to know why (since I own one) it is because the 6.0L has a bad history & so does mine. Flo-Pro is the only one that I have used that gives good performance & sound without killing your braincells. I am on my 3rd Magnaflow right now.
I have the Flo-Pro in my garage if you are interested, it will weld right in place of the factory. I changed it out because I am going supercharged and want a custom setup.
Good luck.

Yes, dual in, single out. I was thinking about dual out and dump over the axle - how did you do your truck. Also - hopefully there is a turbo in the future...

Sorry if this seems like a million questions - but is it better to go with a single out or dual?

Good thing about the Flo-Pro is that is welds in place & was designed for the 6.0L. So you get to reuse the stock tailpipe & save cash. If you are going for just a good sound and a little more power, I would go that route (just like I did). But if you are going for a huge HP monster or FI (like I amSorry if this seems like a million questions - but is it better to go with a single out or dual?

Just replacing the muffler is cheap. If you want to spend more & get more sound and possibly more power, go for a dual out setup.
I am sure someone will chime in with their thought on this.![]()
Good Luck.
