Thinking about doing some mild porting on my TB. Does anyone have any suggestions, tips, advice, or reasons why I shouldn't before I get started.

I used a dremel with a sandpaper roll. I took off the ridge at the bottom even to the bore and blended it in all the way around. I also ground off the backside of the screws that go through the blade & shaft as well as flattening out the shaft quite a bit on the backside. I did the bumpstop mod too. I was pleasently suprised with the throttle response afterwards, I didn't think it would make a noticeable improvement but it did.

shaving down the bumpstop so the blade will open 100%. dont do this unless you know what your doing! if you go too far it will help more than it helps. you need a volt meter hooked to it. search around. theres instructions somewhere to get it perfect. its either here...pt.net or ls1tech.

Here's a link to it. I haven't noticed any ill affects. I think it will cause problems if you go too far.

BTW if it helps more than it helps I guess it's a win win situation.

I found this after the fact and I think I'm gonna pull my TB back off & do a complete port like this. It doesn't look too hard. I just thought I would post it up in case any of you guys wanted to do it also.
