Thread: good cam...???

    my cousin is looking to spend $200-250 for a cam, he needs middle and low end torque to add some extra grunt to his towing capabilities, its a 4.8l sclb with a gibson exhaust and air raid intake, so he was thinking a cam, but if you have any other suggestions for this price, let me know, he doesnt really care about idle and what not, just something to get the job done (tows his 01' to and from the track)

    Try comp cams entry level cams, they are in the 210duration range with a .530 lift. These are very nice cams and have good lowend, something the 4.8 needs.
