Beech Bend is a fairly well known 1/4 mile track in Bowling Green. Very good track it is about an hour from Owensboro.
Ohio Valley is just west of Louisville but is only 1/8 mile.
I have been to both, not down both tracks, but the info on the surface is from a good friend who runs a 9 second Nova
Oh yea, Hardinsburg also has a 1/8 track.

Yea hardisburg(1/8th), Ohio Valley(1/8th), Beach Bend(1/4), Windy Hallow(1/8) but i wouldent even feel safe on a pedal style bike. The track has changed owners and has went from the hardest hooking track east of the mississippi to the slickest track on earth. OBTW Randy when you comming to the boro?

Are you saying that Windy Hollow is that bad now? I haven't raced there for 2 years.

I was there Saturday to race but they called it off about a half hour AFTER I left home. That pissed me off, that they waited so long to call it. If they were going to it should have been early enough that people could find out before they left home but they only decided 1.5 hours before the gates were to open.

thanks for the replies everyone. looks like the closest to me will be a couple hours away.
there's a 1/8th mile track about 30 min from me in Chandler, IN. The closest 1/4 mile in Indiana to me would be up in terre haute, or Indianapolis, which is about 2-2 1/2 hours.

That is a shame. About 4 years ago, I raced a stock motor Mustang 5.0 with all of the bolt-on's, drag struts, and BFG drag radials and could leave the line with the left front tire in the air. The car did have a healthy shot of nitrous but I raced it on the same tires that I drove it there on (65 miles) and ran a 7.90 @ 89.4. The track was hooking that night.
