So a while back AGRV8D stuck the knife in, twisted it, poured some salt in, some black gunpowder and lit it when he stated his lid and headers put down as much as listed in the topic description for my truck.....I've been agonizing and wondering what else can I do to make him happy - lol

I'm probably going with the G5X1 eventhough I'm kinda scared about the .040 Cometic gaskets and 205cc AFRs (milled to 59cc) because of the piston-to-valve clearance.

I'm running a BUILT 4L60E with just a little higher than stock stall converter. I'm seeing on another forum (ls1tech.com) that this cam should be okay in my truck despite my setup.

The other thing I got to thinking about was my driveshaft. Its a two piece (since the truck is an extended cab - aka longbed with a box). So this could probably soak up a few more hp.



NOW THE REAL QUESTION COMES:
Do I do something stupid and have a custom aluminum shaft made which goes all the way from the back of the tranny to the differential or do I wuss out and just replace the pieces in the setup with aluminum?
