I'm new to this site and have really found it informative. Can anybody tell me how to wire the alternator using the factory gauge? I read on another web site that for the alternator to work properly it has to have a certain amount of resistance in the wire circut. If it doesn't the alternator will overcharge and burn itself up.It said if using the idiot light it provided the proper amount of resistance for the alternator to work properly. Any truth in this? Can any body tell me the proper way to hook it up to the factory gaugein a 84 truck? Thanks Danny
