After doing a Transgo and servos mod my 1-2 shift is very firm and the 3-4 is firm but not as strong .
At less than WOT the 1-2 chirps my 32" tires. Would you say this is normal? Will it cause any harm to other drive train parts?
Do shift kits "break in"?
Thanks!

Mine chirps even on the 2-3 shift even without a shift kit. Its all in how the tranny is tuned. W/ a shift kit i would say it could be normal, which Transgo kit did you go wtih. You can have your line pressure turned down if it feels like it slams or turn up your force motor current if it grabs too hard.

Not sure which transgo kit it is, had Synergy Motorsports do the mods. Servos also. The 3-4 is firm but not even close to chirping!
Rick said he could easily adjust it, i just want to be sure i dont unecessarily stress something out. Should i have him increase the 3-4?
The 1-2 seems fine at WOT, only chirps at less than.

You can increase the 3-4, but I have mine set not to shift 3-4 at WOT. That would be a very hard shift and definately not good for the trans. The servos will do the trick on making it firm, but I love the shifts soo much better after my vette servo install.

I say its all a preference on how you like it, if its too much for you then decrease them a bit. If you like it let it be. The shift kits do help the trans last longer.

Mine didn't with a good tune, but does now with a transgo shift kit (stage 1) .
Just got back from mt Tuner who turned down the line pressure a little. Still have a postitive 1-2 shift but it is a little easier at normal driving.

on a 60E tranny I do not think I would have it shifting from 3rd to 4th at WOT,at least that is what I understand not to do and I have never done it!

Duh, i meant the 2-3! Oh well. It still bumps hard in the 1-2 but doesnt chirp at partial throttle like it was. I just wanted to be sure i was not causing any damage to anything else.
I might want it down a little more and firmer in the 2-3 a little.
