    should i just go with a cam package? seems like a pretty good deal

    That is a pretty good price you dont need gaskets I did a cam swap on my buddies 05 truck with about 6K miles on it and reused every gasket on it and its fine with 15K on it. You dont need ti retainers either a waste of money.

    Just my opinion, but it's borderline too big for the 4.8L, don't get me wrong, it'll work and haul ass, I just think you can do just as well with a smaller cam.

    The results that 01Thunder got from that cam are undeniable and he seems to be having good luck with it thats why I recommended it. I am also a fan of big cams so....
