i was reading the nelson site, and considering if i should send my pcm in or not. but it talks about torque management. what is involved in removing that, or just partial? and then it says:

Removing TM beyond what is suggest may have undesired results. However, removing more TM will result in better shifting and less power being pulled by the PCM.

would removing all torque management from my truck have "undesired results". any suggestions for how much i should remove? also, does anyone know what gear ratio i have in my 4.3?

Undesireable resultsEng) 1; Funny noises from your transmission after a couple of HOT runs. 2; No go when you put your foot down. 3; Only certain gears work since you "Fried" it.......

The real question is how soon do you want to upgrade, you know you want to.......

Yeah same here, all the TM taken out, runs like a champ. One thing I noticed is alot more consistency in the shifts, shift pressure doesnt vary as much as when I still had some in it.

Make sure you understand what I wrote.... If your tranny can't handle it the tranny might, can, and most times will die sooner than you want. It all depends on how good your tranny is before you take out the Torq Mgmt.
