alright well its getting closer to christmas and of course im only 19 so i can still ask my parents for expensive gifts and ive been talking to ross a bunch about a lowering kit. he recommended the 2" mcgaughy spindles for the front, and im looking at a 4" belltech shackle and hanger kit for the rear with some new shocks. would that make it appear as low as ross'? i was looking at the lowering kit james(demon) had on his truck, and i was wondering if my truck would look as low as theirs with the kit ross recommended? i know james has a 4" in the front and 6" in the rear. but he has 1.5" coils in the front. would i need coils too, to bring the front down as low? or would the 2" spindles make it lower without the coils?

i would go with the 2/4 like Ross said. If you want to go lower it'll be easier after you have the 2/4 started. you can add 2' coils up front. then take off the shackles in the back and go with some 4" leafs to give you that 4/6

Hey man I would go with the 2/4 drop first than if you don't like it go lower. but the things you named off would work very well. I run 2/4 bel-tech with coils on front and shackles and leaf springs on back with toxic shocks and c-notched frame and my truck rides very good and looks really good going down the road and don't scrub to bad.

what exactly is Ross running? if you are going with the same set-up it should be close. Although his has probably settled some. and y'alls tires might be different heights

im not trying to look just like ross' i just want mine to be around that ride height. the suspension hes got is on his page. im gonna get twenties later on, and im still deciding on what tires i want. there gonna be a low profile of course.

i just want it to be perfectt

It's gonna be hard to get 20's on a truck as low as mine in the front. I've got the McGaughy spindles and a 1.5" eibach spring on the front of mine. It rubs all the time and irritates me, but it looks good.

My wheels are 18 inchers and the tires are 255/55/18. The overall diameter of my tires is 28 inches.

I am going to raise the front of mine soon because it's to low for practical driving. If you drop yours as far as mine and put on 20 inch wheels you will be rubber your inner fendes on every little bump.
No more trucks, but this is what I used to have. 2000 GMC Sierra, 6.0L-LQ4, Built 4L60, LS6 Cam, The Other Guys Headers, 3 inch exhaust and 7 chamber flowmaster, 43lb injectors, Nelson Tuning, Drop - 3/4 McGaughys Spindles, Bell Tech Shackles & Hangers. Best time 13.59 @ 106

what if i didnt use the spring? would it still rub? hmmm what to do what to do.... is there another setup that will fit 20's without quite so much rubbing? would getting smaller tires have anything to do with fitting 20's with the 2/4 setup?

You should be fine with 2/4 drop and 20's. Hey a 2/4 is about as low as you want to go for a daily driver. I was like you and didnt think a 2/4 would be low enough, but i had a 3/4 and hated it and raised it back to a 2/4 and its sits perfect after it settled and still rides good.
