what rpm is the max torque at? I cant decide to go with a ls1 or the 6.0.

how hot does the 6.0 get?
JMO but I would try to keep that truck as light as possible. Seems like a LS1, LS6, or a LS2 would be the best choice for you setup.

4klbs already,so a couple hundred more won't hurt. I think that the torque of the lq9 would make up for it .
I think with the same cam in both engines, you'll see very similar results.
Are you installing a cam in the engine? If so, match it up with a converter and I don't think you can go wrong either way.
I think the only advantage is the LS1 is lighter.
Another thing these 6L's might have over the ls1 is, the block is probably stronger because it's iron and not aluminum.
Either way that's going to be a bad ass project.
btw, do you still have your z06 s-10 available/for sale?

Not hot at all, with a 160 in mine, it ran about 180 all day long with electric fans in traffic. Just a tad cooler, about 178, on the highway.Originally posted by Z06 S10@Oct 30 2005, 01:48 PM

I will probably go with the ls1 . A 224/224 114 lsa and a 3000 converter with 3.42s. I just thought that 345 ft.lbs would make the blazer get up and go from a dead stop in stock form.
sorry i thought it was a truck not a blazer
makes me want to put my used lq4 in my bagged s10 but i think it would be alot harder installation then most people think it would be...
