New Guy from Kansas!

Hello all! My name is Darin, I live in central Kansas and I own and operate an auto & light truck repair shop. Been an auto tech for about 15 years. I have an 81 GMC that is my first car that I have owned since I was 15 (I'm 38 now), and my dad had it before me, he bought it in '85! We restored it when I was in high school, and I drag raced it for a few years with an old SBC in it, got it down in the low 12's, but I've kinda lost interest in racing so now I want to redo it and make a good driver out of it. I just bought a 5.3/4L60 the other day so I am going to start working on the swap very soon, I'm a little intimidated by it, but I am confident it will work out!

Im in Great Bend! Right in the center of the state!

I moved away from there a year ago. Look up Danny over at Dove Buick. He daily drives an 86 C10 with a 5.3 swap.

o ok nice, my brother lives there i think? was going to school in pratt. were from sterling/lyons. mom lives in sterling . im out in AZ tho but will be comming back that way for my deer hint in NOV welcome to the site.
