    5.3l hb

well, I guess this will start my documentation of my 5.3L/ 4L60E/ 241C swap into my 96 Nissan HB. I've done a few mods to the truck as it is. SAS'd with a Dana 44 from a 74 Bronco 3-linked in the front and rear with ARBs and 5.13s, built a winch bumper. Here it is as it sits now...

picked up from the donor vehicle...

it came with a NP246 (automatic transfer case) and for reliability picked up a NP241C, ordered the SYE and rebuilt kit for it today...

First off, Welcome to the site. Lots of guys around here that should be able to answer any question you may have about the swap.

Looks like you have yourself a nice project. We all like pics around here so keep us posted with your progress and shoot us any questions/problems you may have about the swap. Good Luck.

Thanks for the welcome and I will be posting pics, quite a few I'm sure. I do have a question... there are 4 connectors in this pic about 2 feet from the PCM, one is for connection thru the firewall for interior connections but what are the other 3?

Dave, the biggest one is C-2, followed by C-100(black),C-152(blue),and C-153(black). I could explain all these but here's a link that I found extremely helpful with my 6.0 swap into my 93 Chevy full size 4X4.

The site is very comprehensive and should answer most of your questions.

so it seems that the junkyard didn't pull all the stuff I needed. so I'm heading back down to a you-pull-it yard to get those extra pieces. this is certainly going to be a lot of fixing wiring on this. no worries though. its all in the enjoyment of it.

That paint scheme reminds me of the 80's baja and arena racing trucks. I dig it!
