Well Its ALIVE! Kinda ,Been working at getting it running this week .Wiring is still a mess but it works .I kept the old computer for the 4.3 5 speed in the truck and cut out the wires that we didnt use.The harness that I got from just chevy trucks is a stand alone with no transmission controls (dont need with the 400) Dont thinks i need the stock computer at all as I unplugged it and truck still runs. I used the autometer oil pressure adapter and my sender from the 4.3 and gage works .not sure what to do for temp gage yet any advise would be helpful

Welcome. glad to have another swapper, the folks at Nelson will help you a bunch. As far as the temp sender,I used an aftermarket electric water temp guage and braized a fitting onto the adapter I got from speedway motors and put it in the pass side head. You have to drill out the inside of the fittings so the sender gets some water flow around it. It clears the spark plug boot and works fine. I should have drilled and tapped the head to fit the obs sender while the heads were on the bench, but thats water over the dam now! anyhow good luck with your truck.
