I certainly hope I'm on the back side of those traffic ticket days but this certainly sounds like it might work. Whether it works or not - - it's worth a try!! (Especially if you have teenagers under your roof.)

WHAT TO DO IF YOU GET A TRAFFIC TICKET

This advice was sent by a retired State Farm agent!

The system has been tried and it works in every state.

If you get a speeding ticket or went through a red light or whatever the case may be, you're going to get points on your license.

This is a method to ensure that you DO NOT get the points .

When you get your fine, send in a check to pay for it. If the fine is $79.00 make the check out for $82.00 or some small amount over the fine. The system will then have to send you back a check for the difference, however here is the trick.

DO NOT CASH THE REFUND CHECK! Throw it away!

Points are not assessed to your license until all financial transactions are complete. If you do not cash the check, then the transactions are NOT complete.

The system has received it's money and is satisfied and will no longer bother you (and no points will be added to your license).

This information comes from an unmentionable computer company that sets up the standard databases used by every state.

Send this on to your friends. You never know when they may need a break.

Good info......I've aways paid my tickets at the police department before the court date and they have never gone on my record.

I sure wish I would have known this 2 years ago.....I have 2 tickets on my liscense....and a %20 increase in insurance for 1 more year......

Im guessing this only works for speeding? How about "improper backing" and "failure to yeild of way" to angry guy who hit me speeding while trying to get to the liquor store and cash his check....

I guess I'm lucky..only 2 of my 17 have went on my record...

Hahaha... Yeah in the 3 years that I have had my License. I have been pulled over 13 or 14 times. But Im kind of lucky I have never been givin a ticket because my mom is Chief Deputy Sheriff. And they let me loose but sad thing is they all knowww how to get a hold of her. It not always about what you know, But its who you know. But thats some really cool info. I'll half to tell my buddies about that.
