well i've had a grinding noise coming from the right rear tire at first i thought it was a bearing or seal gone bad in the rear, well i pulled the left rear tire and rotor to see the emergency brake pad was eating the inside of the rotor about a 1/2" grove, well today as we had a moment in the rain i installed the new em. brake shoe and new rotor, not bad 30 mins of work lol

chevy should be shot for the way they designed this.

Mine did the same thing! I didn't find it until I failed an inspection because my e-brake didn't work correctly.

Neither of my NBS E-brake's setup worked properly with some miles on them. I was in the hospital last fall due to it and failed inspection on the '99 and the '01 due to it.

Now I "know" some people that just look past that...
