Thread: My truck is at Allen's shop !

    Allen is installing my cam, efans and putting a fresh tune on my truck as we speak. He said he would do a before and after dyno to see the benefits. I'll let you all know. Should have it back by tuesday.
    2013 2wd Z71 6.2 crew cab

    Old Truck: '04 Chevy crew cab stroked/bored 6.0 to 408ci. forged internals, patriot 68cc stage 3 heads (11.1:1cr), comp 244/246 .600 115lsa cam, 3000 yank tc, built 4L60E, walbro 255, 60# mototron injectors, pacesetter lt's 4" single no-cat exhaust

    best time 12.93 1/4 mi @ 103 in the turbo truck.

    What cam are you putting in?
    No more trucks, but this is what I used to have. 2000 GMC Sierra, 6.0L-LQ4, Built 4L60, LS6 Cam, The Other Guys Headers, 3 inch exhaust and 7 chamber flowmaster, 43lb injectors, Nelson Tuning, Drop - 3/4 McGaughys Spindles, Bell Tech Shackles & Hangers. Best time 13.59 @ 106

    Cam was a custom grind per Allen's specs. I don't recall the specs, but it is apparently a bit more agressive than the ls6 cam. I don't know...I don't care...I just wanna go fast.

    Hey,

    just an update for you. Cam was in earlier, fans and other stuff is done.

    Before I tuned it, the idle was awesome, it had a very noticable lope and idled perfect (in park) , but wasn't perfect for driving, it dropped in rpm a bit. The sts exhaust makes it sound tuff, the engine gets in it's pattern and the lope sounds great.
    I did have to make it drivable, lol, so idle is up about 100rpms, the lope isn't as noticable as it was with no tune, but it will get attention.
    I see so many cam specs and this one was bought a while back, but if i remember correctly it was something like 220/218-.56x-114 . I'll take a look at the box tomorrow.
    So now that it's tuned and running, it sounds very nice, not hesitation at all, idle is just right.
    I'll get it on the dyno and post some numbers.

    Did I mention I have a 3200 stall for that truck?
