    Howdy,

Figured i would drop a line to let y'all know who i am. My name is Dave and i'll be 17 the 28th of june. I live in Gilman, IL (50miles north of champaign, home of the ILLINI) I own a 99 4.8L Reg Cab Shortbed Silverado 2x4 with 173,xxxmiles. I'm focused mainly on getting the truck to run 12's with as little noticeable modification as necessary (i'm a large supporter of nitrous as its been good to me in the last 3 vehicles ive owned and sold, and its also been installed in my older bro's 85 LT1 camaro, no specs given as its a secret since he's into racing hardcore)

Just bought the truck a week n a half ago and am loving it, so far i have a TB bypass and straightpipe setup on it for performance, and i have 5% window tint on the back window and a 7" brow on the windshield, also the sides are 20%, i plan on starting performance mods as soon as my next check comes in.

Here's a pic of the truck:

Let me know what you guys think, im open to all thoughts good or bad,

    Dave

yeah i can't wait till i hit the 12's in it. It seems like alot of local people are doubting i can do it because my goal is to run 12's before i turn 18 next year.

One question though, are there ANY illinois members on this board even? Seems like im the lone midwest member, lol.

And as a reply to rosscob, yeah its a farm truck. We own an 04 Chevy 8.1L 2500HD reg longbed with the allison, a 05 GMC Sierra 6.0L Reg cab longbed 2500hd, and my 99 1/2ton 2wd racer.

We owned a 2000 GMC Sierra halfton 4wd, snapped the frame n half pulling wagons with it. After we snapped it, we discovered chevy weakened the 1/2ton frames. 88-98 1/2tons were fine pulling 18,000lb loaded wagons (testament of our now sold 96 z71 1/2ton) but apparently the new ones aren't capable of doing that, lol.

Farmtruck is the site owner's (Allen's) truck. Allen owns nelson performance, so you can just imagine about it.
