Ok, I've got my 92 Z71 and a 02- 6.0l that will be going into the Z I will be doing many internal and external mods to the 6.0 but that aside. The engine I have in the z now is the lo5 (5.7l) block, that from what I understand is a turd. Would any body now if the flywheel off the 5.7l will work on the lq4 (6.0l) to marry my 5 speed to. Thanks

If i were to guess i would guess that it would not work but that is only a guess.

Sorry, no flywheel or flexplate from a pre Gen3 engine will fit a Gen3 engine. Im not a standard trans guy so I can't tell you what you need, but this swap is far from new. You should be able to find the flywheel/disc/pressure plate combo you need by searching here. Good luck!
Just go auto (4l80e) and junk the school buss tranny.
