Thumbs up Pete's Muffler and Brake in Baytown, TX

Really great shop to do business with, he did my entire exhaust (cats, 3" y pipe, and 3" pipe to muffler dumped at the axle). I supplied all the parts except the band clamps and was charged $250, he did some really great work on the exhaust.

The thing that REALLY made this shop stand out to me is how helpful Pete is, I brought my truck there with the trans not acting right (PCM wasn't commanding it). While the truck was in the air getting the exhaust done he checked out the VSS wiring which was where the issue with the trans was, Pete went ahead and took care of the wiring.

When I was paying for the exhaust he tells me that he got the transmission shifting and my jaw just about hit the floor. This shop has gained a customer for life.

I stopped going to exhaust shops and just started doing it myself. Last time I took my truck to a shop it looked like a goose crapped on my muffler the welds were so bad. The sorry sob's used a bolt to fill a hole where they burned through - and this was a local "reputable" shop. Needless to say I didn't pay and called them out in front of customers in the lobby.

Too bad this guy wasn't closer or I would give him a try. +1 on the pics of the work.

My old exhaust shop sounds like the one you talk about...it's the shop where everyone takes to get their exhaust work done and they have piss poor welds yet charge outrageous amounts of money.

They told me it would be AT LEAST $250, they pretty much said if it started to be a hard job they would charge at least $300.

I'll try to get pics in the morning, but all I have is the crappy scissor jack that came with the truck.

Also this guy knows his stuff about LS swaps...he said he has ordered 4 or 5 harnesses from one company alone so maybe he has done more than that but I'm not sure. Right now he's doing a 6.2 swap in a 64 C10 for one of his buddies, I meant to take pictures of it when I went back for my truck but when he told me he got it shifting the only thing that was on my mind was getting in my truck and driving the shat out of it

Yep, the place I'm talking about was an alignment/muffler shop in College Station. My friend was bored one night and Tig'd his muffler on, ever since then we just do our own stuff.

Jeebus man, $250 for a whole exhaust with 2 cats, a Spintech, and a mini y pipe included? That's one hell of a deal

I didn't get to watch him work, but I believe he took about 3 hours to do it which leads me to believe the guy is a perfectionist.

Any stains you see are oil...screwed up a tad on the oil pressure sending unit

Some pretty crappy pics, but they will suffice.
