whatever you do, dont cut it off with a torch cuz a lot of times it tweaks the stub a little from the heat. i work at a driveshaft shop, i see it every day. best way to do it is use a press to press the old one off, and a press to put the new one on. but i know most people dont have that luxury. using a cutoff wheel is a much better idea than a torch.
