running without power steering - anyone?

i have a 2006 lm7 out of a truck that i am putting in a 60's vehicle that will not have power steering. has anyone run one of these without power steering? are here any routing pictures and possibly a belt part number floating around out here that would work for this?

i cant be the only one doing this??

    help ??

there is a guy that builds a bracket to mount the alternator down low so you dont have to use the huge ps and alt bracket on the front. once you use it the belt is a bout 56"

i cant remember the dudes name, but i will look around. either way yes it can happen and look really good too!

That's the setup I'm running. It works great. I'll dig around and try to figure out who makes the bracket

I hated driving my truck without PS. The pump took a crap and wouldn't hold fluid. I drove it for 2 weeks waiting for payday. I can't tell ya how many mailboxes I almost smoked when turning and parking in a tight spot was a pain in the a$$. I will NEVER do it again.

yes please any info you can find on that bracket system would be great, this is going into a 66 chevy flat nose van and no power steering needed (i am sitting on top of the wheelwells). also has anyone ever ran this with the stock bracket w/o power steering (is it even possible)?

i think speed inc has a ALt bracket that mounts the alt lower right.. they use car accesories but its simple, use a EWP and all youll have is alt and crank pulley
