I also have no line under the gears on the gauge cluster when shifting in and out of gears. WTH could this be? I tried 2 different nuetral safety switch boxes already. I am puzzled.

any DTC's did you hook up the little purple with if you removes the starter
06 rcsb, 6two, 231/235, 4.11, pacesetter, 80e, 14 bolt, Nelson tuned
2011 rcsb 6two swap in the works with 6l90 and boost
FARMTRUC CAN GARGLE PEANUT BUTTER
Yeah I did. that's the same as the nss/mlps correct? if so I tried two of them
yeah.
? little purple with? what do you mean? I did remove the starter. THen I hooked it back up. I connected the two wires, one a 8 mm nut and the other i believe a 12. I couldn't see a third? But then again I was delirious being I worked on the truck from about 11:00am to 5:30am so...
and if it is a wire on the starter would that give me a no gear indication line under the gears on the gauge cluster?

theres a purple wire on the starter its the one with the number 8 nut on it so youre fine there. Something is not sensing that the truck is in park cus really doing that swap there really is nothing else that could go wrong, and i believe the NSS and the prndl are 2 different parts. Im trying to think what else would cause this just by doing an 80e swap and idk, you think maybe you popped the starter relay somehow ???

I am wondering if it could be internal wiring or solenoids. I had the truck working before with an 80e. I just put a new 80e in because i broke the bellhousing on the original one. It might be possible that I popped the stater relay but I think if the if it was a starter issue i WOULD have a gear indicator line. If the prndl or nss got wet would that cause it to not work?
I had a similar issue where my truck wouldn't start and it had the no line under any gear but it turned out to be the wiring for the new iss. It was disconnected. I simply fixed the wiring and it solved the problem.
I tried adjusting the nss but no solution there either.
I am puzzled here

if it cant be fixed with a hammer, its an electrical problemreally though id start tracing wires.

First thing first. Make sure no wires were pinched between the trans bell housing and the engine block. Be sure that any grounds you took loose are bolted back down. Feel for loose wires at the back of the engine that may have been broken during disassembly.
Have fuses been checked yet? also make sure you didnt leave off any grounds. im dont think it will be internal. whatever it is will be on the nss/mlps circuit im sure
