Ok, had to blow some steam here dudes.
Last night I went for a spin in the Truck (Street mode, 7 psi, 92 octane timing) and found this old, dirty and bad looking 92-95 BMW M3 US version. Guy told me it was totally stock, but stripped interiors only. HE wanna test against my truck and I was like " no prob dude, let's give it a try".
We went to the street, and line up in a red light waiting for the green to go. I was so over confident with my truck, I didn't build boost, nor did I connect the 4H, and in my mind I was gonna give this guy hell.
Green light and the bimmer jump almost 2 cars on me. I was like WTF!!!!
My boost kick in about 2500 rpm but it was late, couldn't reach him. Not even get close. we cut about 125mhp. He got me until that speed with almost 2 and a half cars !.
I was in total denial. Could not believe my eyes, I was like trap in a bad episode of the twilight zone, or a candid camera show !
I ask him to go again, with almost same results. and then a 3rd one with my 4H engage and this time just 2 cars on front still losing !
We stop in a gas station to chat, and gave the guy 2 thumbs up. Told him his car was a total sleeper and a beast. He told me all he did was put stock rims on it, and take the interior out.
I pop up my hood, to look at my "super lame engine" like asking my self, how a tired 240HP car can rape me so bad.
Then the devil possessed me, and I crank the boost to 9 psi. No tune to back it up, and without my new Drive shaft. Just and old Drive shaft I cut and weld from a suburban. (My new aluminium DS is taking like 4ever to arrive)
I ask him to give one more try, and he complies.
This time with 4h engaged, in the red light I build a couple of psi and we launch. I jump like car and a half on him. I was trying to concentrate on hearing any knocking to let go, but heard nothing.
I was in front of him, but I could not get rid of him fast. I was gaining so little over him, almost nothing till 120mph
I called a night, we both props each other, but I couldn't stop thinking how the F%$# a lighter old STOCK M3 gave me hell.
Now the word in the street is that the M3 is a sleeper with probably 500HP. That will make more sense, but I still don't buy it.
Contact the guy to race tonight one more time, and he told me he took apart the car for painting it. Oh bummer. I'm facing a non sleep weekend with a tormented soul now
