    intake question

Hello, the intake on my 03 6.0 engine is broken on the top and I am going to change it out, and I am thinking about doing the TBSS intake but I want to know some of your opinions about from people that have actually done the swap, also I converted back to cable TB, basically do you think it's worth the trouble to covert to it or just keep the original style intake, also I have a Nelson tune, do you think I would need to get a retune to run the different intake? Thanks for any replies.

You would have to switch to a 4 bolt TB (which will be pretty expensive in cable style) or run an adapter, which pretty much defeats the purpose of the swap.

I think it was worth the swap on my truck, but since mine is a DBW 2001 I didn't have to buy the module to convert to the newer TB, so it really didn't cost me much.

If you change to a 87/90mm TB you will definately need a tune.
