did you all go to the 160 thermostat? I am having Allen get me a tune and that is the route I want to head but the entire housing on my 2001 must be replaced? Where is the best place to get this?

1968 Chevy SWB Fleet. 2002 5.3 all stock (for now) Nelson Tune 4l60e w/TB converter.
ok not stock anymore...13.3 at 101
Now with front mount turbo... new times soon
The thermostat and housing come as one piece. I got the 160 to go with my Nelson tune. It allows for a bit more timing advance and keeps the engine a bit cooler. Mine runs at 188 with the 160 in.

I would also like to know where the best place to get a 160º thermostat is. i am interested in getting one, and I have seen them for around $50, but I would like someone who has purchased one and installed it to tell me what the best deal around is. Thank you.
