Rear end ugrades as in a OEM Limited slip. What truck do i look for ?

Does the SS have a factory LSD ??

why buy another? just get a tru trac from rons machine ?

Unless you can get a G80 for less than 200 in good condition its not really worth it. However you can find them generally in the half-ton Z71 equipped trucks.

My truck came stock with one 05 rcsb 5.3 LS package. Usually the better equipped trucks have them like power seats, heated mirrors, power windows, the LS package. I agree with skeet though just get a tru trac and be done.

Hmm i should check my truck its a 1999 silverado ECSB Z71 i wonder if it has the limited slip in it. Anyone have the rons machine web link ?

My W/T package truck came with one. Just look in the glovebox for the G80 code PS. I also rendered it useless with a 4.3.

Checked the glove box and g80 is there I'll look at the site

There are at least six types of diffs in trucks that have G80. G80 only means it's not an open diff. G80 has meant that for all platforms, not just trucks, since the three digit RPO system was implemented (guessing late 50's).
